Hey Thom! Thank you for the nice words! I also watched your Atomic City bass cover video a couple of times, but I interpreted the bass solo part differently from the beginning. I still have my doubts about a note, but only Adam could tell us what the truth is! With the sparkle gold bass, I was given a huge opportunity by Niall, for which I am extremely grateful. :)

Hello. Thanks for the feedback. There are basically 2 versions of "Even Better". One is the original album version. U2 played this on concerts between 1992 and 2009. Then there is a second version, called Fish Out Of Water Remix, credited to Declan Gaffney and Matt Paul in addition to U2. A remix from 1991. Oddly, U2 have been playing this version since the 360 Tour, but why it is a very good question. Anyway, I also like the original version better, I will make my bass cover video for it soon. After we did the full band cover of the song, I then used the same bass line for my own cover that I used there. And we played this version because the actual guitarist (Andrea) preferred it. The bass line of Streets is also a very interesting thing. The album version and the live version are not completely the same of course. The basic difference is the melody part heard during the chorus in Streets. The Edge originally played this on the album version with a 2nd guitar line, but he can't play two guitar lines at the same time in concert, so the song was reworked with Adam taking the melody of 2nd guitar line for bass. This way, the studio version can be reproduced better. NYD hasn't changed much over the years. The bpm changed and Adam abandoned the Flanger/Chorus effects he used in the early days. What has changed is that he plays an empty E at the end of each round, I think he added this for the sake of variety. By the way, I also really like the Europa EP version, but the verse and chorus parts are also the same here, only some breaks have been added and the key of the song changed due to fitting the music better to Bono's changed vocal tone.

@@u2basstraps I’d love to see an instructional video that breaks down these altered bass lines section by section. You clearly have a deep knowledge of the changes and why. I think it would go down really well not just with bass players but wider u2 fans in general.

Hi. There is no bass guitar in this song. When I made this cover my technical background was limited only to bass guitars. In this song Adam only played on Moog Taurus pedal. Both studio record and live concerts. I have an old idea that I made a new cover of this song by my Moog System. I think I will do it soon.

Hello! Thank you for your feedback! Yes, that's right. This melody is played during the chorus in the studio version by The Edge on a 2nd guitar line, however, the studio version also has a primer guitar line playing the basic chords. At the live versions since The Edge can also play only one guitar line at the same time, the 2nd guitar line heard during the chorus had to be transferred to the bass guitar, which is played by Adam. This reproduces the sound of the studio version very well. A lot of U2 tribute bands don't play that, even though I think it's a very important part of the song and the bass theme.

He plays not only drum but he provided almost all the other backing sound effects and he also mixed and mastered all the audios. But all 3 guitarists guys are also very good. I am very proud that I can work in this team.

@@thomasfioriglio yes the music what we play is from NYC on 30st of August 1992, but the isolated vocal line is from Dallas on 16th of October 1992. And yes the August gig was in the Yankee Stadium! It's amazing, you were there. I anvy you Thom! :)
